It’s like a disease that’s flowing with the blood throughout the body. This disease is the people of this impure land.

Two young engineers went to Machar Colony in Karachi for some work. They were accused of abducting a child. Then people gathered. Mob justice prevailed and both were killed.

With bricks.
With sticks.

This is as much as it takes to get killed.

Mob justice and lynchings have been common here. Two young boys were killed in Sialkot which still evaporates the hope of living in this world. Those two were beaten and then hung upside down on a tree to be tortured easily.

The same was done in a recent incident of blasphemy when a Sri Lankan national was killed because otherwise religion would have died.

The same way, a Christian couple was killed and burnt alive in a brick kiln in Kot Radha Kishan because of an accusation of blasphemy. They were accused of burning the Quran. Those who burnt the couple actually burnt the Quran. No one realized anything.

First, there must be a fear of being taken by a mob. Then, some strange shocks of happenings. Then beatings. Pain. One by one. Inch by inch. Every part of the body. Sticks and stones. Flames. The smell of the body being torn apart. Like a BBQ being prepared in a jungle of wolves.

Maybe they all wished for early death. Maybe they all prayed for death at first strike. Maybe they cursed their lives. Their existence. Or maybe they cursed the mob while begging them to be forgiven.

But curses don’t change fate. Curses don’t make the heavens fall.

This is it. This is life. And this death. The two can meet anywhere, anyday, among a mob, that wants dead bodies to make a point. Like in the Machar Colony yesterday. The point can be anything. Anything absurd.

May the two not rest in peace. They can’t. Rest in pieces. May the curse fall. May this whole universe get fucked once and for all.

Karima Baloch was killed in Canada in 2020. Sajid Hussain was killed in Sweden in 2020. Remember that? Also remember your stance and how you all supported that they were not part of dirty games of assassinations.

They were. Now you know.

Saleem Shehzad was killed in 2011. Mysterious conditions. Was done and dusted for his journalism.

Sabeen Mehmud was silenced in 2015 because there was no other way to shut her.

The list can be a long one. Never-ending. Since the beginning. Because even Fatima Jinnah was silenced and her book was not allowed to be published for decades. And then an edited version was published. After her death. Another mysterious death.

Anyway. Here we are. You may disagree but you must stand with anyone being tortured. You must defend to death the right to say for everyone – even when you disagree.

Arshad Sharif’s murder must be a wakeup call. Must be. Otherwise, we are already bricks in the wall and nothing really matters. Except the narrative and its guards with fragile egos.

The message is clear. Dissent isn’t allowed. Not at all. A thousand disagreements with the way he did his job, but the way he has been murdered is disgusting to the core. This state is dead and it stinks. It will keep on stinking and will suffocate others too.

Rest in peace Arshad Sharif.

Why this hypocrisy against Shahrukh Jatoi? Why are you not happy from the judicial brothel of Pakistan? Why are you complaining against the Pimps that sell justice?

Wait for Zahir Jaffer to be bailed out. Wait for Shahnawaz Amir to get married again. Wait for all the murderers to be released because they all are released somehow.

The state is in business of this murder, collateral damage, qisas and diyat.

The religion has a whole provision to give a safe passage to the murderers with money. I know. You will come up with this and that and blah blah. Let’s suppose we agree on what you come up with. Still, there is that gray area to go ahead with money. You know that too. Wasn’t Shahrukh Jatoi pardoned under Qisas and Diyat Law?

Com’on! It’s legitimate.

And apart from that, this is exactly the system. Kill millions and be remembered by history as a great warrior. A great general. Iron fist.

The constable was standing on the crossroad doing his job. He was killed intentionally by Majeed Achakzai, who was later acquitted by the court.

A whole family was killed by CTD (read “Counter Terrorism Department) in Sahiwal that was on way to attend a marriage. Two kids were left alive to mourn the missed opportunity of death for the rest of their lives in this land of impure.

Ehsanullah Ehsan, the killer of 148 souls in APS School, was also freed – escaped – after having primetime slot on TV screens across the country.

260 workers were burnt down in Baldia and the killers still roam free. In fact, there is no clue of the killers. The judicial brothel made it so complex that even the killers are confused if they had killed anyone.

444 were killed by Rao Anwar and he is as free as ever. He was called by the apex court for months and he didn’t show up. Then he showed up and the Chief Pimp didn’t get angry at all.

Thousands of missing people are being missed and sometimes they popup from unidentified graves, yet no court dares to intervene for human rights.

80,000 were murdered in bomb blasts across the country in over a decade. No one resigned. No one was held responsible. And no one is guilty.

Because they are all in this together. Hundreds can be behind bars on mere suspicion based on evergreen blasphemy law. But kill hundreds and you can roam free. Or hundreds together can kill one in a mob justice and the religion will be safeguarded.

They are in this together. They don’t care about you. Or your children. Who are alive and are yet to be sacrificed for the honor of the land which doesn’t exist.

So? Why this sudden noise of being looted of something you never had in the first place?
Don’t be a sensitive idiot.
You earned this.
You deserve this.
Until you stand up, turn around, and dare to burn the citadel down.

Hundreds of dead bodies have been found on rooftop of Nishtar Hospital in Multan. The video is making rounds. Rightly. Dead don’t make noise. Videos of dead do.

And dead stink. They didn’t? They didn’t stick hard may be! Failed to make an impact on the dead society moving underneath.

Imagine lying there for years like that. Full moons. Sunny days. Beautiful rains. Starry nights. And some hundreds of dead bodies around you. For years and years.

Anyway, the Health Department of Punjab has issued a letter. Congratulations! A typical bureaucratic letter. Let’s dissect it, the way Nishtar dissected the dead bodies.

• “I am directed to refer…”. Typical start to be blameless, even though the letter is by a PMS officer.
• “… decaying dead bodies on the rooftop of Nishtar Hospital, Multan has surfaced causing public outcry.”  Which means we were not going to take a notice otherwise. And they didn’t. Because this is not a new news.  
• “Competent authority has taken a serious notice”. That’s the usual joke. It’s the incompetent authority that had REM during its sleep after public’s noise. Idiots.
• “Carry out an in-depth investigation…”. Asking the MS to do an in-depth investigation. Asking the culprit to begin. Why don’t you guys make a committee under Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner and a couple of other duffers. The committee will be able to present an in-depth by the time the dead bodies are completely decomposed.
• “Within three days…. Urgent.” Imagine. It is urgent. And 3 days. That’s all about the serious notice of the incompetent authority.

Now come to the hierarchy. This is under Minister Yasmin Rashid. The same iron lady from the road, who had health department since 2018 with a little break.

After her majesty, comes the Secretary – the incompetent authority to be precise. The letter, the notice, the urgency, and his future action plan will reveal his incompetency pretty soon but it won’t matter. He will keep on getting promotions because it is not the work that matters but the hand that signing your ACR. Keep that hand filled and busy and ACRs will go excellent.

And then comes the District Administration and other baboos on the field. They are going to cook the dead bodies and eat them after cooking them a little. Just wait and see.

The ugliness in the system is because of the system which is outdated. It was a system of the Colonizers to control the masses. They did. They did well. But then they left.  

This same system of pages and files and “put-up” and “noted” and “approved” and “seen” is rotten. Gradual growth with set qualification and promotion of employees should lead to the top. Or technocracy should take-over. This whole filing system should be online as it will keep a perfect eye on pendency and files won’t vanish suddenly. The existing use of millions of pages on daily basis should end.

These leftovers of the colonizers don’t even know that they are mere jokers and as soon as they leave the room, people laugh at them.

The other day, a CSP lady with superiority complex since induction got a little attention on Twitter. She went to US – not with her money – to brag how her AC Jhelum House – not her house – was bigger than White House with no need of medical insurance or study loans etc. The joke went out of her hand because of being an idiot. Later, she had to defend the low intellect with lower intellect. She had the attention though.

Such minds are going to handle the case of hundreds of dead bodies found on the rooftop. Such minds didn’t know that before as the case is clearly years old. Some of the dead bodies can be seen to be there for more than 2 years.

No one noticed. Until now. Public outcry. Serious notice. In-depth investigation. 3 days. Urgent. Your arse.  

P.S. by the way, such mass dead bodies only make noise in Punjab. Such scenes from Balochistan doesn’t even count. May be its routine there and a scene here. Who knows except those who knows who is sleeping with who?
