Who is an Activist?

Who is an activist?
“A person who campaigns to bring about political or social change.”

Jinnah was an activist.
Iqbal was an activist.
Manto was an activist.
Sir Syed was an activist.

Faiz was an activist.
Jalib was an activist.
Mumtaz Mufti was an activist.
Ashfaq Ahmed was an activist.

Being an activist is not a sin.
Challenging the status quo is not illegal.
Asking questions is not a crime.
Raising concerns is not bad.
Asking the right religious questions is not haram.

Islam asks its followers to think. To ask. To analyze. To rationalize. To believe. And to change accordingly.

Prophet Muhammad SAWW was an activist. He stood against the customs He found wrong. He changed things. He thought. He implemented. He fought. He won.

Abductions will lead to lawlessness. It will lead to further hate. It will lead to discrimination.
And
God forbid,
it will lead to dissection and permanent damage.

We didn’t learn anything from Dhaka Fall.
We try to ignore Baluchistan by not mentioning it.
But gradually, and with the support of vast majority, we are digging our own grave.
Crowd. Alas the ignorance of the crowd!

As Jalib once said,
“Yeh jo 10 crore hain, jehal ka nachor hain, inki fikr so gai.”
